It is something that many people want to have, long luscious hair. But sometimes that is not the case. Growing healthy hair is something that can take weeks to do, but hopefully I can help start your journey.

Cut out the chemicals
In many of our hair products, there are lot of chemicals that are very damaging for are hair. Chemicals like sulfates, parabens, petroleum etc. Sulfates for example: strips your hair from its natural oils, which leaves your hair dry and brittle. When going on routines to help grow your hair you might want to check your products to see what chemicals they have. If your hair gets greasy often ,you might not want to cut out sulfates so maybe just use that certain product once a week, then a sulphate-free product for the rest of the week.
Moisturise regulary
Hair grows the most when it is moisturised. Some hair types are more prone to being dry than others so you should find out how much product your hair needs before its dry again. Products like hair lotions, deep conditioners and oils will help you moisturise your hair. Once a month you may want to try a protein treatment. Protein treatments strengthen your hair by adding protein back to your strands. This strengthens your hair because keratin is the main protein in your hair and it helps make your hair strong again.
Use oil with scalp massages
Scalp massages increases blood circulation to the scalp which promotes hair growth. Aswell as adding natural oils such as olive, argan, coconut and jamaican black castor oil; mixing them together and using them can increase hair growth. I like to use Simply hair oil on my hair; it works like magic. Without this product my hair wouldn’t have been able to become thicker and stronger. By doing this the roots of your hair will become thicker and stronger. People also add oils to the ends and lengths of their hair to strengthen them. This is because they need the most attention since they are the oldest part of the hair. There is also something called the Inversion method where you flip your head over and massage oil into it for 4-5 minutes. This can increase your hair growth.
Be gentle
If you are being rough with your hair, you can be creating unnecessary breakage. This is the No.1 thing you want to prevent. Being gentle with your, no matter how much it fustrates you, can create a massive difference to your hair. Spending some more time to comb your hair from roots to ends cand reduce breakage. When it comes down to things like pillow cases and clothes, sometimes the material is really harsh on your hair, which can lead to hair damage. So be mindfull of your enviroment as well. Also, protective styling is another way to grow healthy hair. Styles like buns, braids wigs and weave all help to protect your hair by hiding away the ends.
Know your hair needs
Your hair can be identified and cared for in many different ways. This ranges from hair type to thickness to hair porosity. The most important may be your hair type, which can determin where you should start shaping your hair regime. Another important factor is your hair porosity. This tells you how much product you hair can absorb and retain. To find out your hair porosity put a strand of your hair into a glass of water. If it sinks you have high porosity hair; if it floats you have low porosity hair; it is somewhere in the middle you have normal porosity hair. High porosity hair can absorb moisture well but can’t retain it. Low porosity hair can’t absorb moisture well but it can retain it. Normal porosity hair can absorb and retain moistue well.
